First Lady Michon Shaw is the fourth child born to Pastor and Mrs. Mitchell Davis, Jr. Her foundation was laid in the Church of God in Christ church, located in Dade City, Florida. She attended the public schools of Pasco County and matriculated to the University of South Florida (USF). There she pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and earned her Bachelor's of Arts degree in American Sign Language Interpreting. Holding National Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), she works as a full time Sign Language Interpreter, and primarily in the Video Relay Setting since 2009.
Lady Shaw completed her Masters of Arts degree, Interpreting Pedagogy from the University of North Florida in 2015. With this degree she is a college instructor, teaching in the Interpreter Training Programs (ITP) at her alma mater, USF. Her love for ministry has inspired her dedicated work as the Women's Ministry Director at Shekinah Glory Cathedral. Additionally, Lady Shaw serves within the Dade City District as the Youth Chairlady. With her "Yes Lord!" persona, First Lady Michon Shaw truly embodies the foundation of the Church of God in Christ as she serves side by side with her husband, Pastor A. D. Shaw.
